I love the pictures on this layout! When we went to Camp of the Woods in 2014, there were so many cool things for the boys to do. It was an awesome set up because there were activities that both of the boys could enjoy with their differing abilities. One of the challenges of raising a child in a wheelchair is not holding back others in the family. There are times I haven’t attended certain functions if I know it is not accessible, especially when the boys were little, and Caleb would be left on sidelines. He does enough of that. But when the opportunity presents itself to allow Zach to enjoy more normal able-bodied activities, I absolutely love it!
I took Caleb to the game room where we played air hockey, while my mom took Zach to the rock-climbing wall - with the promise she would take lots of pictures for me.
Zach thoroughly enjoyed this experience. He was good about listening to all the safety precautions and he was careful. I love his genuine smiles and how hard he concentrated. His little grin in these photos warms my heart.
Scrapbooking Tips
I had so many photos that I wanted to use, so I found a photo heavy sketch that I used for photo placement. Basically, the photos are all 4" tall adhered in a grid layout. I used a combination of 3x4", 4x4" and 6x4" photos.

I looked for a rock-climbing design I could use on this page and found one in the Silhouette Design Studio. I sized it to stretch the entire height of the page. To guide the viewer's eye across the page, I made sure I had my climber facing the direction of the photos. I flipped the design horizontally to cutomize it, which is super easy to do.
I highlighted two 3x4" photos with a green photos mat, and I used two different types of letter stickers to create my title and placed it around the corner of the picture.
I chose my pattern paper carefully to include bright colors and the arrows pointing up to indicate climbing. Because the page had so many photos, I did not add any other embellishments.
