These photos show the time when I thought it would be a good idea to have my younger son and nephew decorate Easter cookies, but what you don’t see in this layout is the tremendous mess they made of the kitchen table and floor during this process. Caleb and my older nephew were way too busy with video games and too cool to decorate silly bunny cookies. However, anything involving sugar had Zach's and Chase's attention (and to this day, still does)!

I love that the boys' idea of decorating was to put a mound of frosting and sprinkles in the middle of the cookies. The candies I had bought to decorate with either ended up in Zach's and Chase's mouth or on the floor. Even though Logan and Caleb didn’t want to decorate cookies, they weren’t too cool to eat them.

Although Mom could have done without the mess, the boys had a blast and that is what mattered!

Scrapbooking Tips:

I’ll be honest… I made this layout because I wanted to use these awesome Easter paper from Doodlebug Design! As believers in Christ, we celebrate the true meaning of Easter, but I let the kids enjoy the fun of the Easter bunny and eat their full of chocolate on Easter morning. However, this paper was just too cute not to use. I looked through my stack of sketches to find one that would use a lot of pattern paper but still allow room for six photos. Using square 4x4" photos, I was able to accomplish this.

After the adorable pattern paper, the most noticeable element on these pages are the bunny faces. I used the Sunshine Bunny Die Set from The Stamps of Life. This cute die makes a bunny that is sitting on its front paws with a cotton tail, but I only used the face portion of the die. I matched the nose and ear colors to the pattern paper. At first, I had planned to use blue, yellow and green but the green paper I had just blended into the background paper, so I went with a pink eared bunny instead. When I saw how nicely the pink complemented the striped paper, I choose to use bright pink letter stickers to create my title.

Supplies used:

Cardstock: Bazill and The Stamps of Life

Pattern Paper: Doodlebug Designs, Inc.

Bunny Dies: The Stamps of Life

Letter Stickers: American Crafts Thickers
