For my 40th birthday, Jim surprised me and the family with the experience of a lifetime. He bought pit passes for a Brad Paisley concert! I am a huge Brad Paisley fan and love seeing him in concert. His songs bring back so many sweet memories both old and new. I love his fast and funny songs just as much as more serious and romantic ones.

So even though I had seen him in concert before, I had never been this close to the stage - and Caleb, Alexis and Alyssia also got to come with us! I was beyond thrilled to bring Caleb to his first concert - especially because Brad Paisley was a huge influence in his dad's life. Dave swore he was one of the best guitar players and had been a fan years before I started listening to his music.  This night was amazing - the only thing that would have made it better was having Zach there, but he didn’t go because of his sensory issues - it would have been a miserable night for him being in that loud of environment.

I took a ton of photos and put together five layouts. It was an absolutely fabulous way to commemorate turning 40!

Scrapbooking Tips

The kids were excited to have caught some picks that the opening acts and stage hands had thrown into the audience. I didn’t want them to sit in some storage box somewhere, so I simply used glue dots to add them directly to the pages. Here is a photo of Caleb holding his pick . . . Along with the actual guitar pick. It added a nice touch as an embellishment to the layout, while keeping a piece of memorabilia front and center.

Supplies Used:
